GKB opticals , Phoenix mall, 1st floor, Chennai. I had been buying predominantly lens and reading glasses. It's been few years and have good experience with the staffs so far. Recently purchased Burberry sunglass with a good discount and asked for a new one which the staff mentioned will do home delivery next evening through courier which they normally do and we thought it's porter which he is mentioning as courier and we also agreed. We assumed like all other shops if product is not available they send as free home delivery . On the 3rd day I remembered that GKB staff didn't send the product and i had to call and a person in call told will call back regarding the product and didn't call back. I called again and then he mentioned that by evening will send in courier. In the evening he called and told that he is sending through porter the product. Then he called again and informed that I got to pay for the porter which came as a shock to me. I was so upset when porter came and dropped and it was rs77 as we stay closer to the mall. I asked the staff that GKB showroom is not taking the initiative even to pay the small amount for the delivery and the staff mentioned that they have courier run in their shops but since I wanted it today and it's urgent, courier guys weren't available and so sending through porter due to which i have to bear the expense. I never told a word its urgent and all he had to ask me was if it can be sent the next day due to the reasons he had and i would have agreed on it. They were supposed to send next evening and after 3 days I had to call and ask where my product was. Despite the delay and no information conveyed through phone from GKB I had to bear the delay, no information conveyed theough phone about the delay and the added expense. Quite disappointed. The rest of the staff are good. Iam giving 5 stars for the shop ambience and the products are good as I had good experience all these years. Except for 1 staff who gave bad experience this time. Thinking twice to go there again.
